A Broadway classic.
Created 45 years ago in New York, this show has enjoyed a huge amount of success over the years, and returned to Broadway, in a new version by Sam Mendes.
The action in Cabaret takes place in the 1930s, in Berlin, where the economic crisis is raging. During a trip to the German capital, a young American writer Cliff Bradshaw discovers the "Kit Kat Klub," a decadent nightclub where singer Sally Bowles performs, with whom he falls in love. Sally's landlady, Fräulein Schneider, plans to marry Jewish grocer Herr Schultz, but everything becomes more complicated as the city is threatened by the Nazis, who are busy setting up the Third Reich.
This great Broadway classic by Joe Masteroff, John Kander and Fred Ebb won many awards in New York, where it ran sold out shows for six years (1998-2004), as well as in Madrid (2003-2006) and in Amsterdam (2006).
